Rainbow Six: Extraction | (CIB) (Playstation 5)

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is a cooperative tactical shooter that expands the Rainbow Six universe in a different direction, replacing human adversaries with a rapidly evolving alien threat known as the Archaeans. Players deploy into containment zones across multiple regions, investigating outbreaks, gathering intelligence, and completing high-risk objectives while attempting to survive increasingly dangerous encounters. The setting retains the series' emphasis on planning and teamwork, but places those skills against an unpredictable biological enemy.

Gameplay revolves around one- to three-player cooperative missions where operators enter a map and complete a sequence of objectives before extracting safely. Familiar Rainbow Six operators return with their unique gadgets and abilities, allowing teams to approach situations through stealth, reconnaissance, defensive positioning, or direct engagement. Failed missions can have lasting consequences, including temporarily losing access to operators who become trapped in hostile territory.

By combining tactical shooter mechanics with risk-versus-reward progression, the game creates a constant sense of pressure that extends beyond individual firefights. Every decision to continue deeper into a mission carries the possibility of greater rewards as well as greater losses, making communication and planning just as important as accuracy. The PlayStation 5 version also benefits from enhanced performance and fast loading times, helping cooperative sessions move smoothly between deployments and objectives.
