Mario Party 2 | (LS) (JP Nintendo 64)

Mario Party 2 is a party-style board game where players choose characters from the Mario series and compete across themed boards filled with events and hazards. Players roll dice to move around the board, collect coins, and try to purchase stars before their opponents. Landing on certain spaces can trigger traps, bonuses, or unexpected twists that change the pace of the game.

At the end of each round, players compete in a variety of minigames to earn extra coins. These challenges range from reflex-based races and obstacle courses to memory games and competitive battles. Winning minigames is one of the most important ways to build up coins for buying stars or using special board events.

This sequel adds themed costumes for characters depending on the board along with more minigames and improved board mechanics. Players can experiment with different strategies while trying to outplay their opponents over the course of a full match. Mario Party 2 keeps the focus on chaotic multiplayer competition and unpredictable turns.
