Dragon Ball: The Breakers is an online asymmetrical action game that takes a unique approach to the Dragon Ball universe by placing ordinary civilians against some of the franchise's most powerful villains. Instead of controlling legendary heroes, most players assume the role of Survivors who must work together to escape a Temporal Seam while being hunted by iconic Raiders such as Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu. The game emphasizes teamwork, stealth, and survival over direct combat.

Gameplay features seven Survivors cooperating to gather resources, activate Super Time Machines, and escape before the Raider eliminates them. Players can collect items, rescue civilians, and temporarily transform using Transpheres that grant the powers of famous Dragon Ball characters like Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo. Raiders grow stronger as the match progresses by evolving into more powerful forms, forcing Survivors to balance exploration, objective completion, and staying out of danger.

The Special Edition includes the full game along with bonus downloadable content, including exclusive customization items and cosmetic rewards for players.
